{"id":2104,"date":"2007-06-21T18:46:35","date_gmt":"2007-06-21T23:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/?p=2104"},"modified":"2007-06-21T18:46:35","modified_gmt":"2007-06-21T23:46:35","slug":"sausage-king-leaves-the-farm-for-good","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/?p=2104","title":{"rendered":"Sausage King leaves the farm for good."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/06\/07621171953_bobevans621.jpg\" title=\"Bob Evans\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/06\/07621171953_bobevans621.jpg\" alt=\"Bob Evans\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today a great man of sausage <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/feeds\/ap\/2007\/06\/21\/ap3846694.html\" title=\"Forbes:  Bob Evans Founder Dies at 89.\">passed away<\/a>: Bob Evans of Bob Evans Farms.\u00a0 I&#8217;m a devoted fan of Mr. Evans&#8217; Sausage even after his lame restuarant inflicted second degree burns to the side of my face courteous of a flaming hot coffee pot.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not one to hold a grudge when it comes to sausage.\u00a0 Besides, Mr Evan&#8217;s seemed like my kind of man:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Evans complained that he could not get good sausage for the restaurant he started after World War II in Gallipolis in southeast Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>Starting with $1,000, a couple of hogs, 40 pounds of black pepper, 50 pounds of sage and other secret ingredients, he opted to make his own, relying on the hog&#8217;s best parts as opposed to the scraps commonly used in sausage.
