{"id":2401,"date":"2007-08-24T09:32:10","date_gmt":"2007-08-24T14:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/?p=2401"},"modified":"2007-08-24T09:32:10","modified_gmt":"2007-08-24T14:32:10","slug":"civilization-nearly-collapses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/?p=2401","title":{"rendered":"Civilization nearly collapses."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7444.jpg\" title=\"I have no idea.\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7444.jpg\" alt=\"I have no idea.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The photo above was the end of an interesting night which included Civilization nearly coming apart at the seams.\u00a0 In much of the MidWest there was a storm that was rather violent;\u00a0 toppling trees, bringing down power lines and questioning all that we thought was good.<\/p>\n<p>Things I saw last night during and after the storm that make no sense to me:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li>My neighbor and a kid using brooms to sweep water out of the alley behind my house, while standing in a\u00a0 6 inches of water as lighting is currently striking.<\/li>\n<li>Two people standing in pouring rain with an umbrella under a power line that has fallen in a tree.<\/li>\n<li>A man coiling up a down powerline in the rain like it was an extension cord.<\/li>\n<li>A huge tree completely uprooted and resting on a house.<\/li>\n<li>A large tree that broke at the base of the trunk and completely destroyed a Honda Civic.<\/li>\n<li>A bowl of pills sitting next to my porch, much like candy on Halloween night.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7439.jpg\" title=\"Formerly a Honda Civic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7439.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Formerly a Honda Civic\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7440.jpg\" title=\"Crushed.\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7440.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Crushed.\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7441.jpg\" title=\"Again.\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/img_7441.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Again.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The photo above was the end of an interesting night which included Civilization nearly coming apart at the seams.\u00a0 In much of the MidWest there was a storm that was rather violent;\u00a0 toppling trees, bringing down power lines and questioning all that we thought was good.
