As many will agree, it&#8217;s been way too long since the end of last year.   My top five signs that Football is upon us (in no particular order):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>School supplies are on sale.<\/li>\n<li>Baseball is halfway through the season.<\/li>\n<li>Browns fans have come back to the annual realization that they have no chance of competing in the NFC North.<\/li>\n<li>I have read 5 different &#8216;Preseason&#8217; College Football periodicals.<\/li>\n<li>Pork Loin is about to become a staple of my diet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If for some unamerican reason you didn&#8217;t recognize the man above, he is <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jim_Thorpe#College_career\" title=\"Wikipedia:  Jim Thorpe.\">Jim Thorpe<\/a>.  The greatest American athlete of all time.  Any man who <span style=\"font-style: italic\">jukes<\/span> the future <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dwight_Eisenhower\" title=\"Wikipedia:  Dwight D.
