A thieving bastard managed to steel <\/a>450 kegs of beer from the Guinness <\/a>Brewery in Ireland on Wednesday.\u00a0 A single man drove into the Dublin brewery and hitched a trailer full of beer to his truck and then proceeded to drive out the front gate.\u00a0 This is considered to be the largest beer heist in Guinness <\/span><\/a>history.\u00a0 A choice quote from the news report:<\/p>\n

\u00a0Police said it would be difficult for the thief to sell the stolen beer without attracting attention, unless he has criminal associates who own a network of pubs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hmm.\u00a0 Possibly the IRA<\/a>?\u00a0 Just a hunch.<\/p>\n

When I was in Ireland <\/a>last year there was public outrage because Guinness was transitioning to a new system of beer distribution… Trucks.\u00a0 They were doing away with delivering beer by train and going with the more modern approach.\u00a0 As you can imagine the Irish were furious as this led to beer arriving at the pub not as quickly as by train.<\/p>\n
