Yesterday Julie<\/a> and I went to the NHL Winter Classic<\/a> at Wrigley Field<\/a>. \u00a0To say the least it was amazing. \u00a0The first period was worth the (steep) price of admission. \u00a0The Blackhawks ended up falling<\/a> to the Redwings 6-4. \u00a0The weather wasn’t unbearable and our seats were blocked from the wind. \u00a0We had a really good view of the entire ice and the seat next to us was empty. \u00a0The opening\u00a0festivities\u00a0were a little over the top (introducing Chicago Sports Legends twice) but once the game got going it was awesome. \u00a0The first period was pretty much non-stop action with a Detroit player getting upended into the Hawks bench.<\/p>\n
