The US-CERT:<\/a> United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team has issued a warning<\/a> against using the Microsoft<\/a> browser Internet Explorer<\/a>. US-CERT recommends using an alternate browser do to the all the vulnerabilities in IE.<\/p>\n

My take: If it weren’t for Internet Explorer Microsoft Windows might be secure platform. If you look at all the updates (critical & recommended) Microsoft puts out the vast majority are for IE. The kicker here is that IE doesn’t even have a a pop-up blocker. It’s 2004 and they have no pop-up blocker. There are no other major browsers that don’t have pop-up blockers. I would venture to say the average user spends more time browsing the internet than any other task while on a computer. If IE still has 90% of the market then most the majority of internet users are in danger most of the time they’re on their computers. I guess their not in danger but their data, privacy and equipment is.<\/p>\n
