As most neighborhood festivals in Chicago, Mayfest works on the &#8216;voluntary donation&#8217; for entrance and the tickets system for food and drinks. Each ticket is $1 and 15 tickets gets you a boot filled with a liter of beer, 10 tickets gets you a refill.
