We got to the museum first thing in the morning so we missed much of the school tour rush. A somewhat related piece of transportation history is the <a title=\"Wikipedia:  Apollo 8\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Apollo_8\">Apollo 8 Command Module<\/a> which would have never made it to space without the <a title=\"Wikipedia:  Wernher von Braun\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wernher_von_Braun\">German Scientists<\/a> that were secrelty relocated to the United States after the war during <a title=\"Wikipedia:  Operation Paperclip\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Operation_Paperclip\">Operation Paperclip<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week Julie and I finally made it out to the Science and Industry Museum primarily to see the captured\u00a0German submarine U-505.
