{"id":713,"date":"2004-11-21T23:40:41","date_gmt":"2004-11-22T03:40:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/?p=713"},"modified":"2004-11-21T23:40:41","modified_gmt":"2004-11-22T03:40:41","slug":"shatner-to-be-or-not-to-be","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/?p=713","title":{"rendered":"Shatner: To be or not to be."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"hasbeen.gif\" id=\"image712\" src=\"http:\/\/blackhandproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/hasbeen.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I must recommend <a target=\"_top\" href=\"http:\/\/www.williamshatner.com\/\">William Shatner&#8217;s new album <\/a><a target=\"_top\" href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=24088166\"><em>Has Been<\/em><\/a>, it&#8217;s a series of spoken word\/songs with guest        appearances by the likes of <a target=\"_top\" href=\"http:\/\/21361.com\/\">Henry        Rollings<\/a>. I first heard about the album, which was produced by Ben Folds,        while I was at a Henry Rollins show last winter. Rollins went into a whole        spiel on how weird it was putting down some tracks with Bill Shatner.<\/p>\n<p>The album has some good tracks starting with <em>Common People<\/em>, where Shatner goes on on about how bad it is to be a common person.  Also the title track <em>Has Been<\/em> is a look into how society views an former star.
