This weekend Julie and I attended JJ and Kim’s wedding in Columbus, as far as I can tell this was several years in the making.
The reception was held at Nationwide’s Atrium where a young, unsuspecting couple, was lucky enough to be seated with the likes of me, Kyle, James and Nick Barbone. No small feat. After the reception and a change of clothes we headed over to the Elevator to meet up with most everyone from the wedding who was up for a drink or four.
A chronology of Old Myles:
I attempted to document the transformation of Myles into Old Myles through the course of the night. This wasn’t anything special but it was Old Myles.
A summary of the end of my night/morning:
We ended up heading back to the hotel after the Elevator, leaving my hotel key with Nick Barbone and an invitation for James to stay in our room. At about 3:30 I get a call from James while he’s pounding on our door. I let him in knowning he has to make a 9:00am flight back to California. A few hours later James’ phone alarm starts ringing so I attempt to throw a pillow from the chair at him. As I grab for the pillow I notice Nick is actually sleeping on the chair leaving a third yet unknown man sleeping in our room. I hit James with the pillow but to no affect. The alarm eventually stops and I go back to sleep. I start to assume that the other person in the room is Todd Boylan who must have stumbled in with Nick at an unknown hour. At about 7am the alarm goes off again. I still can’t wake James. We go back to sleep again. Finally at 8am, with the alarm ringing and Julie physicaly pulling on James’ leg he wakes and heads out. Nick gets up from the chair and takes James’ place on the bed. About an hour later Todd gets up and asks Nick for that ride he promised him in a drunken stumble to the strip club 4 hours before. At this point Nick recalls that he doesn’t have his car, it’s at Myles’. Awesome. Todd leaves (via Cab?) and then we notice Myles has called at about 9am. Nick and I assume this is because we left some food out at his place earlier but we later find out this is because we have the key to his house and Myles had to sleep at a neighbors.
Par for the course.
A fitting sequence of events. Did you manage to get any pizza? Earlier tonight while gathering photos of personal interest from this site, the idea of a collage of photos, similar to your annual, containing only hilarious shots of kyle should be published. There are definitley enough to compile a memorable piece of art.
Old kyle appears like the elusive chupacabra. Between the wedding and the bachelor party im really surprised there wasnt more serious injury, or missed airplanes. Had a great time this weekend, i really dont think we will ever see that whole group together again drinking in Columbus. Unless…..Dommer? Close at all? 🙂
It’s always good when Dalton McGregor drops a line (or a duce for that matter).
