Ohio Stadium Grass Not Cutting It, Again.

After 6 home games Ohio State is replacing its’ field for the second time this season. It was originally replaced on September 26th after Ohio State’s 28-6 win over Penn State in the third home game of the season. Now three games later the turf is being replaced again. Here are my questions:

1. How can a ‘Land Grant University‘, with a degree program in Field Turf not have the agricutural skill to create a football field that will last 7 games?

2. How can the same field need to be replaced twice in one season?

I just don’t get. There must be a professor of Field Turf Management who knows how to plant some grass. I don’t understand how 50 years ago they didn’t change the turf on a football field all year, yet they ran the ball probably 30% more.

Tonight I finally upgraded my Fickr account to the Pro version so I could actually create some sets and whatever else was possible. Hence the photo map. As you upload photos to Flickr you can place them on a map with Longitude/Lattitude coordinates or just an adderss and it will plot them. This all works through Yahoo’s Map Web Service which is more or less the Yahoo equivalent of Google Maps.

After hitting up a costume party Julie and I went to The Quays for a Strongbow that wasn’t there. The majority of people there were dressed but not nearly as well as us.
