The Internet Becomes Completely Useless.

This was a cool phenomenon back in 1999 but in the Post 9/11 world (ok that was a little overkill but everyone uses the term and I just wanted to take a shot) it’s become pretty lame. How many times do I have to go to a site which I read daily/weekly and find a horribly written, poorly thought out, lame April Fools’ joke? How many times? By the second sentence you know it’s bogus yet the brilliant author continues to go on for another 4 paragraphs. This is such a played out gimmick.

Information Super Highway my ass.

Dangerous Sports Down Under.

Today on CNN.com’s main page there are two disturbing sports stories from New Zealand& Australia.

Australia:
A freak basketball accident severs a 10 year olds’ hands and one foot. The boy apparently attempted a Slam Dunk and brought down the backboard and various other structural material which in turn chopped off his hands and one foot. Luckily doctors were able to reconnect all three limbs. The boy is supposed to recover within a year and the only effects he will have to deal with is the shortening of both limbs do to the surgery.

New Zealand:
A 16-year-old apprentice jockey was dragged to his death by a runaway horse at a holiday race this past weekend. The boy fell from the horse but got his foot caught in the stirrup. The other riders tried in vain to stop the horse but were unsuccessful until the final turn.

These are two terrible stories to start with on a Monday morning and two more reasons why I will never:
a) ride a horse competitively
b) attempt to dunk a basketball.

Party Girl Sighting & A Sport Coat.

Partygirl

St. Patric’s day was a success by all units of measure. I unveiled my Drinking Jacket (ie sport coat) and there was a Party Girl sighting as you can tell by the photograph above. As far as I can tell this is the first time the Party Girl has been captured on film and possibly the last. I cannot take credit for this photograph because it was take by my colleague who has been researching the Party Girl since we first got word of her existence. If you’re asking yourself who is this Party Girl? All I can say is the time will come when you cross paths with her and then you will understand.

Simply put, the Party Girl just is.

You can click on the images below to see a larger version, please take note of my fabulous Sport Coat.
