CIA's best guess no longer good enough.

Yesterday the President said the CIA’s Report on Iraq was just a guess.

“The CIA laid out several scenarios. It said that life could be lousy, life could be OK, life could be better. And they were just guessing as to what the conditions might be like,” Bush told reporters during a picture-taking session with Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi. “The Iraqi citizens are defying the pessimistic predictions,” Bush said.

“The American people have seen horrible scenes on our TV screens. And the prime minister will be able to say to them that in spite of the sacrifices being made, in spite of the fact that Iraqis are dying, and U.S. troops are dying as well, that there is a will among the Iraqi people to succeed.”

Leader of the Free World
George W. Bush

If only the President would have told us the CIA was just guessing about the Weapons of Mass Destruction everyone would be home by now.

Gotcha!

Yusuf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens, was deported yesterday after appearing on a terrorist watch list. Stevens Islam was removed from a flight heading towards Washington when the plane was diverted to Maine after custom agents discovered his name on the list. Why you ask, did they find his name only after he was on the plane, well that’s how goverment works. Stevens Islam was then deported back to Briton.

A government official said Islam was on the watch list because of “known associations and financial support to organizations believed to be aiding terrorism.” According to U.S. officials, he is an active supporter of Muslim charities.

Cat Stevens changed his name during the 1970’s after converting to Islam and I guess by conincedince took the name Islam. You can find out more about international terrorist Cat Stevens Yusuf Islam at his web site www.yusufislam.org.uk

Once Again a Vote for John Kerry is a Vote Al Qaeda. Republican speaker of the House Dennis Hastert made had the following comments with Vice President Dick Cheney by his side during an campaign stop in Illinois:

Hastert said al Qaeda “would like to influence this election” with an attack similar to the train bombings in Madrid days before the Spanish national election in March.

When a reporter asked Hastert if he thought al Qaeda would operate with more comfort if Kerry were elected, the speaker said, “That’s my opinion, yes.”
