Saturday night Julie and I met Nick at Southport Lanes for some shady bowling. If you’ve never been, I recommend. The lanes are manually operated by ‘pin monkey’s’ which you can tip to gain favor. Basically rolling a ball down the gutter with a dollar bill rolled up inside can get you a strike no matter how many pins you hit. This only complicated the fact that we have no idea how to keep score.
Julie and I went to the White Sox – Rockies game this afternoon. This was my second game at US Cellular Field and after debating on how the weather would turn out for the better part of the morning we took a chance. Our seats were pretty good, the weather was great and we got to see several home runs.
A good time was had by all.
Another rough day in Detroit. The Pens lose 3-0 to the Red Wings and going are now down two games to none.
The positives:
The downside would be everything else. We made the 4.5 hour trip there and back in one day so the driving was pretty rough. We managed to find a even more shady liquor store than the time before. Detroit fans are pretty rough but that was to be expected.
