Kickball & Partygirl Sighting.

Partygirl Again 1Partygirl Again 2

On Thursday night I was reunited with the Continetal Office Kickball team for the season opener. Much like last year we dominated the field of play with a final of 11-1. Now granted this was against the reining league champions the Senators but there was no letting up by our team, including run-ruling them in the second inning. Yours truly managed two catches in centerfield as well as one RKI at the plate. More importantly Kyle manged an in the park (2 run?) homerun with his first kick of the season. Things are looking up.

Now on to the Partygirl sighting:

After the victory the team decided to head to Planks(on High Street) in German Village to celebrate. Upon our arrival we quickly noticed Partygirl as soon as we arrived. This is getting pretty amazing considering I was only in town for 4 days; what were the odds of a Partygirl sighting? Well I’m sure for Partygirl the night was young considering we left a little before 11pm and she was not yet in full form.

As shown by the pictures below you can tell our Coach really let loose after demonstrating her uncanny ability to collect spoons. And of course it was Karaoke Night (which we as a team were obligated to boo).

Last night I went to Shea Stadium to see the Mets close out the series 2 games to 1. I also got to see a couple Yankee fans escorted out of the stands after things got interesting. I’m not sure how the guy in the photograph above managed to get that bullhorn through security, but more power to him.

The highlight of the night would have to be seeing my favorite baseball player, Billy Wagner actually win a game. Wagner referring to the fans:

“I was pretty shocked. I don’t know if it was Yankee fans rooting for me. Whatever, it felt pretty good. I wouldn’t say making amends, but I was showing that I’m good enough to go back out there after taking a whipping. I guess I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to do better than I did yesterday.”

Ok, I really don’t have a favorite player.

Air Hockey World Champion.

Much like Bobby Fischer (before he went crazy) I defend my title in Air Hockey only when it is needed and then I leave the sport for years at a time. Last night was one of those nights. After several drinks earlier in the night at Lotus Lounge to celebrate Alica’s Birthday we moved on to The Living Room where the title defense began. First I successfully finished of the Frenchmen in the photograph above with ease. After several exhibitions matches to keep the crowd entertained my title was challenged once again. But this time I went down swinging to the new champion, Dave.

I also lost my rematch, much like Tyson lost to Lennox lewis. I could make excuses but real champions don’t need excuse… just rematches.
