Further proof that all Polaroid photographs look like they were taken in 1972.

3rd Annual Santa Pub Crawl
Last night the big man went out for a night of jolly fun on the 3rd Annual Santa Pub Crawl. As usual we started at Southport Lanes and headed north. The turnout this year was at least twice as large as the first two crawls. Thanks to everyone who made out. If you got coal last night… you know why.
* Side Notes:
* All my photographs from the evening are on here on Flickr. I plan on posting some of my Polaroids on Monday, they might be some of the best pictures taken.
** Messner’s is off the list. Out of all the bars we stopped at they considered us a hassle. There have been some suggestions that we tell the bars ahead of time that we’re coming (maybe work some kind of drink deal into it) but I kind of like the surprise/informality of the whole event. Back the Messner’s… if Santa rolls into your bar on a Friday night with 20/30 plus jolly fellows you shouldn’t look at it as an inconvenience but as good business.
All the other bars were great and most of them weren’t that busy so it worked out well.
*** Highlight of my night had to be when we’re waiting for the Brown Line at the Addison Station and I’m doing the whole Santa thing when a young girl and her father get off the train on the opposite platform. I shout out some ‘Ho Ho Ho’s’ and a Merry Christmas and the girls waving at Santa and goes off skipping down the platform with her father… Fast forward several hours and bars later and her father is on the tour. Hilarious.
**** Santa ended the night at Burrito House. Feliz Navidad!
*** Santa has hit the wall:
Polaroid Christmas Tree.
Last weekend Julie and I made our trip across Ashland to pick out our Christmas Tree and as you can see by its’ awesomeness we did a hell of a job. If you’re wondering why the couch plays such a prominent role in this photograph it has to do with the important part it plays in our house hold.
Also, I was able to find 3 packs of Polaroid film so we’re all set for the Santa Pub Crawl next Friday.
Side Note:
* The Polaroid Corporation as many of you know ceased production of ‘instant film’ in February 2008 so the world has been hoarding Instant Film ever since. Amazon lists a single 10 exposure pack of Polaroid 600 Instant Film for $39.99. Lucky for me The Impossible Project is moving forward.
** And yes, my Polaroid camera has a timer so I was able to take this photograph by myself.
