On Thursday of last week I put in my Two Weeks Two Days notice and my Resignation. I have accepted a job in New York City which begins more or less tomorrow (with a 2 week training stint in Ireland). This timing has prevented me the ability to provide the traditional two weeks notice but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. So the next couple of postings will probably be a series of last minute get-togethers until I jump ship officially Thursday morning. Either way it’s been a hell of a run and there isn’t too often you get to leave a job to start over more or less from scratch… career-wise.

This year I spent St. Patrick’s Day in New York with Julie and a couple of her friends. After a drink or two we began our search for a bar that wasn’t completely packed. After a couple setbacks we ended up at O’Flanagans which had a good crowd but by no means was packed. We didn’t really stay too late but we drank enough in a short period of time feel quite Irish.
