Nine Inch Nails @ Jones Beach.

NIN Joan's Beach

Saturday night we headed out to Jones Beach for the Nine Inch Nails concert. This was the first time I’ve ever seen Nine Inch Nails but it was by far one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. It was definitely the hardest show. We missed both opening bans because we spent a good amount of time in the car opening Heineken bottles with a plastic lighter… no small feet

We were too far away to get any good photographs but the show was amazing. We also got to stand in front of crazy concert guy… better known as that guy.

This past weekend Nick and Jenna came to town to catch the Nine Inch Nails show on Saturday at Jones Beach. When they got into town one Friday we headed out to the Joshua Tree for some 80’s music. The night was one of the longest in memory for yours’ truly. After several classic tracks and one cracked skull we ended up moving on with our night. I think we ended up leaving the Irish bar down the street from our aparatment at around 4:20am.

More or less there was a lot of Rockin’ going on. I danced to Bruce and fist-pumped to Billy Idol. If you wondering about the picture with only one arm that is me paying homage to Def Lepoard.

And by the way… I stubbed my finger.

Big Apple BBQ.

This afternoon we checked out the The Big Apple BBQ so I could get my fix. The setup was kind of unique whereas each vender only had one dish so we had to decide what type of meat we wanted before we got in line. No samplers. We decided to checkout a couple different vendors and create our own sampler.

Here’s what we came up with:
– Pulled Pork (Ubon’s from Yazoo City, MS)
– Beef Brisket (RUB BBQ from New York, NY)
– St. Louis Ribs (Blue Smoke from New York, NY)

The Pulled Pork from Ubon’s was by far the best, maybe because it was from The South. They also provided the largest portion amongst the three and that counts for something in my book.
