Selling Out Like Never Before.

Today The Game has sold out. The Game will be no longer known as The Game, but instead it will be referred to as the SBC Michigan-Ohio State Classic. I thought the whole point of calling the annual year-end match up between state rivals The Game was because there was no other game to distinguish it from. We had no need to call it anything other than The Game. The Game speaks for itself… no more.

Game Day #2

This past Saturday I visited Happy Valley for what was a sloppy but good football game. The Nittany lions of Penn State defeated the Golden Knights of Central Florida 37-13. Despite several turnovers by senior quarterback Zack Mills (4 fumbles, 2 INTs) the Lions managed to win their third game of the season by more than 20 points. Tony Hunt lead Penn State with 125 yards for 3 touchdowns.

Next up for Penn State: Wisconsin

West Virginia: National Champion?

West Virginia is my pick for this years Nation Champion. They have the running game, the quarterback, and more importantly the schedule. Much like the 2002 Ohio State Buckeye’s, West Virginia has the perfect schedule to make a run for the title. West Virginia has rolled over thier first two oponents and tomorrow’s battle withMaryland will be a coming out party for Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaniers. Thier only tough game is with Virginia Tech (who jumped ship to the ACC) and the season ending “Backyard Brawl” against Pitt on Thanksgivings Day at 8:00pm.

Meanwhile I’m off to see the once proud Nittany Lions do battle against UCF
