476 miles as the crow flies (minus two buritos).

Yesterday before work I stopped by the ice cream bar at FAO Schwarz to have a $14 Milk Shake and I happened across the Dallas Cowboys’ 1st round Draft Pick Bobby Carpenter. This is really of no consequence but I also saw him last year in Columbus with the same woman eating a massive burrito at Chipotle.

Just kind of interesting. The Buckeye jacket gave him away. Did I mention the milk shake was $14… The Sundae was more.

Update:

I’ve been recently been notified that it wasn’t Bobby Caprenter but actually Nick Mangold. This makes sense since I’m in New York and Mangold signed with the Jets. As you can see by the photographs above this is an easy mistake from accross the room. If I only I had my team of interns working on this it wouldn’t be a problem.

In New York (for good).

The last couple of days I’ve started to get settled into New York before I start work on Wednesday. This included having a my laundry done (two weeks worth) for $23.00, to-date the greatest investment of my life. Today Julie and I checked out a couple places in the city including the observation deck at Rockefeller Center, which had a great view of The Empire State Building and Central Park. We also tracked down a Chipotle to feed my addiction.

Bronze is Better Than Nothing.

Last night people gathered at the Joshua Tree to wish Julie well on her trip to Italy working the Winter Olympics. Julie will get to see some world class hockey while working at one of the ice hockey venues in Torino.

My favorite picture would have to be the first one below, with a shot of the Whitney Houston video in the background.
