Spoon w/OK GO at the Newport.

Last night kyle and I went to the Newport to see Spoon for $5. It was a pretty good show, worth more than $5 by far. The opening band was OK GO which weren’t so good (maybe just OK). The best part of OK GO’s show was at the end they played their new single via the house system and the band broke out in synchronized dance. It was pretty funny.

Spoon sounded really good, there wasn’t much interaction with the crowd but they played threw most of their songs during the night. The lead singer for Spoon, Britt Daniel, did look a lot like a young Gary Busey.

Last night people gathered at the Ravari Room in hopes of meeting Damaon Zex of public acceess fame. This of course didn’t happen but sometimes that’s how it goes.

Football Glory?

Today everything was left on the field… everything except a victory. What turned out to be a quasi – Heights reunion ended on the grid iron. Legends were made, fumbles were had, and touchdowns were lacking but overall it was a good time. The final score from the two games was not worth reporting but a rematch is already in the making.
