Barcade with the Cook's and Charlie.

Barcade.Barcade.

Last night Julie and I took the Cook’s and my brother Charlie to Barcade for some beverages and joystick action. Needless to say more than a bag full of quarters were lost in purist of childhood glory.

Side Note:

We learned that a wedding ring is not a subsitute for an valid ID in Brooklyn.

This was the second time I’ve used my new camera, the Canon Elph SD600, which replaced my Canon Elph SD400. This is my fourth Canon Elph in roughly 3 years. I seem to be a little hard on the cameras but hopefully that won’t be the case this time around. Granted I’m still figuring out this one since I didn’t have the resolution set to it’s highest setting which caused me to take lower quality pictures than my last camera. The problem has been corrected.

The Cook's Visit New York.

Nick and Shelia Cook at Rockefeller Center.

This past week The Cook’s came out to visit and take in the City. Their trip, which covered more groud during than I have in nearly 8 months, included three of the five Boroughs of New York City. While not working, Julie and I had dinner with them at Heartland Brewery at the Empire State Building and Dee’s in Queens (which just so happens to be my favorite Italian place ever).

The Cook’s took the form of travel favored in the 19th Century… the Rails. Granted they didn’t excatly travel like a commoner in their upgraded ‘Sleeper Car‘. But they took the road less traveld nonetheless.

2006: Year in Review.

review.jpg

This past year a lot has happened. I celebrated my first Hanukkah, traveled to Vienna and Ireland. I managed to resign from WOSU Public Media and move to New York City, while the Saturn took a beating. I started my prestigious Internship Program with great results. After more than a decade my reign as Air Hockey World Champion ended. I experienced the hottest day in the history of mankind. There was a Partygirl sighting and I went to my first baseball playoff game. JJ Frencho finally got married and I created one of my best Holiday Cards yet.
