Hey Ladies! Get Funky!

This ain’t your Fathers’ Kingdom. Saudi Arabia announced yesterday due to logistical reasons women will not be allowed to vote in the first Kingdom-wide elections.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said there are not enough women to run women’s-only registration centers and polling stations, and that only a fraction of the country’s women have the photo identity cards that would have been needed to vote.
Many women in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, have balked at getting the ID cards — introduced three years ago — because the photographs would show their faces unveiled.

I would have thought they would officially allow women to vote yet since the men don’t let the women outside their turnout would slim.

Election Prediction.

As requested by Mathew Gross here is the Official Nik Bronder 2004 Presidential Election Prediction:

Kerry 325 (52%)
Bush 213 (47%)
Nader 0 (1%)

Reasoning:
The massive voter turnout operations that are underway in ‘swing states’ such as Ohio, Michigan, Florida and West Virginia combined with the massive job loss (250,000 jobs in Ohio have been lost since 2000!) will be what decides this election. The ‘Iraq situation’ won’t help Bush and any way it can only hurt him. The Iraq situation doesn’t hurt Kerry in any way, if any thing it puts doubt into the eyes of millions of Americans. Back to my first point, this election is about jobs & turnout.
