Tapper at Barcade.
Nik Bronder playing Tapper at Barcade.

Wednesday night Julie and I finally went to Barcade to spend all of our quarters in vain trying to defeat the Deathstar. Barcade has about 30 arcade games (all are only $0.25 per play) and even more beer on tap in what looks like and old garage. Julie and I found out the Mario Brothers is much harder to play with a joystick than a controller as we both really didn’t get past the first level. Also, Punchout (minus-Mike Tyson) is just as hard with joystick considering Glass Joe whupped my ass. I did my best work playing Tapper which seems to be a Budweiser promtional game. The idea is your a bar tender and you have to serve drinks before the customers get to the end of the bar or you break a pitcher. My kind of game.

Some other games of note:

Ghost ‘N Goblins, 1943, and the Star Wars game from my childhood.

80's Custumes at the Quays.

B'yep. Thinking bout rebar.new.jpg

After hitting up a costume party Julie and I went to The Quays for a Strongbow that wasn’t there. The majority of people there were dressed but not nearly as well as us.

As you can probably tell these were last second costumes with a little help from Rite Aide and some t-shirts. I promise more next time…

Sticking it to the Man.

Robert Moore fighting the good fight.

Three-year-old Robert Moore found a way once again to beat the system…

Moore attempted playing by rules (which were clearly stacked against him), spending his dollar bill on a shity toy that’s been locked away for the last 15 years.  As we all know you can’t get anything decent out of those crane machines.  We all learn the hard way.  Not Bobby Moore.  He throws caution to the wind and goes for it.  Moore learned early on in life  it’s every man for himself.  I pose this question:

Who’s playing who?
