Installed a Retail Superdrive.

Today I upgraded my Power Mac G4 by adding a Superdrive (DVD Burner). I purchased the Pioneer DVR-A07XLA DVD Writer which is a new version of the drives Apple calls the Superdrive for $150. I installed the drive in the lower drive bay of my Power Mac (mirror door), I made sure the drive was set to ‘Cable Select’. The only thing I forgot to do was remove the face of the the drive, which slides right off. Once the face was off I was able to get the drive to eject by using the ‘option + eject’ command on the keyboard (that’s how you open the second drive bay). My Mac recognized the drive automatically and successfully burned a movie via iDVD 4 right off the bat.
