What about Poland?

Poland is playing around with the idea of withdrawing from the Coalition of the Willing (US, Briton, Australia, and our friends in Rwanda). Poland would like to see it’s troops out of Iraq by the end of 2005.

That’s what happened to Poland…Damb the Power of the Internet(s)!

It’s not that I’m making fun of Poland just the fact that Poland is considered a “Key Coalition Member”. For christ sake we’re talking about Poland. The same Poland that’s had a bad stretch dating back to September 1939 (as the Stones said: When the Blitzkrieg raged and the bodies stank). I would have to say this Coalition of the Willing is becoming less willing all the time.

Meanwhile Costa Rica is wondering when it became a member of the Coalition of the Willing.

Costa Rica’s highest court ruled that the United States cannot name this pacifist Central American country as one of its coalition partners in Iraq, and the government was preparing a letter yesterday asking Washington to remove it from the list.
The White House Web site still had the country listed yesterday.

The White House response: Remove the page on www.whitehouse.gov that lists non members of the Coalition of the Willing. Too bad they forgot to remove the link to the Press Release that still lists Costa Rica.
Where the hell is Eritrea? When in doubt check the CIA Factbook. When visiting Eritrea beware of locust swarms.
