I headed down to the South Side for the first of three White Sox games this week.  The White Sox came from behind to beat the Rangers on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 8th.  The game started off rough for the White Sox and they were down 2-0 early in the game but they rallied to tie the game in bottom of the 5th off of Brent Morel‘s three-run homer.  The weather wasn’t as bad as expected and it felt much warmer than the last game I went to.

Last night Julie and I bared the cold and went to our first White Sox game of the season against the Twins.  Being that it was a balmy 40 degrees the stadium was half full so we were able to maneuver our way to some decent upper deck seats.  The game was a stalemate until Jason Kubel hit a home run in the 4th inning and then the Twins’ Liriano continued his no-hitter to complete the game.  I have my issues with Baseball and its’ statistics but when it was all said and done it was interesting to witness what had just happened.

**** Julie is a big fan of the Chicago Dog that one can get at a White Sox game.

US Cellular Field: Beerman Bobblehead.

Last night Julie and I headed down to the South Side for the ‘Beerman Bobblehead Night’ at US Cellular Field.  The White Sox ended up losing in the 9th inning to the Tigers.  We had heard about the bobblehead when the tickets went on sale for the season and this was a priority.  Every time we go to a White Sox game, I think more and more how much more enjoyable the whole experience can be compared to Wrigley Field.  It’s just so much easier to get around, the food is much better and typically the team is better.

Beerman Bobblehead night at the Sox game. I've been waiting all summer for this. Also, no bobbleheads for kids.DSC_0124.JPGDSC_0158.JPGDSC_0162.JPGDSC_0180.JPGDSC_0156.JPGDSC_0195.JPGDSC_0232.JPGDSC_0241.JPGDSC_0169.JPGDSC_0230.JPGDSC_0321.JPG
