CAF: Preservation & Pubs.

On a Chicago Architectural Foundation tour. Congress Hotel -Essex Inn, Michigan Avenue -Dearborn Station, Printers Row -M. A. Donohue & Co., original publishers of the Yellow Pages, Printers Row -

This past Friday Julie and I went on our second Preservation and Pub walking tour by the Chicago Architecture Foundation. This tour centered around the South Loop (including several of the builings I work at) and ended at Kasey’s Tavern in Printers Row.  I enjoyed this tour more than the previous one, mainly because it was in the South Loop, whereas our first tour just seemed to cut across the Loop and dealt with more of the aspect of Historic Preservation than the buildings/neighborhood.

Side Notes:

Gotham City -

* Chicago will always be Gotham City.
** Julie has a lot more photographs of the tour on Flickr.
