The Louisiana State Penitentiary has at least one Black Bear living on the prison grounds. One might ask how the 400 pound bear was able to gain access to this ‘maximum security prison’:
“I love that bear being right where it is,” Warden Burl Cain said Monday. “I tell you what, none of our inmates are going to try to get out after dark and wander around when they might run into a big old bear. It’s like having another guard at no cost to the taxpayer.”
This statement leaves me with so many questions for Warden Burl Cain I really don’t know where to begin.
- Was there a problem of inmates ‘wandering around after dark’ before?
- Has anyone looked into how the bear was able to get in?
- If a bear can get in, could a person get out?
- If you’re name is Burl Cain are you destined to be a Warden of a Penitentiary in the South?
- What has the 400 pound beast been eating?
