Local News at its Best.

The first image is from the story titled: Man’s Ear Bitten Off In Stabbing Attack. The incident occurred after a party at the victims took a turn for the worse.

The second image is from a story titled: Woman Found Guilty In Stairwell Sex Scandal. The former state child support worker was found guilty of public indecency Monday for having sex with a colleague in a downtown Columbus office building stairway.

I hope I’m not the only one who thinks these pictures speak volumes… Local News at it’s best.

The Smurf's Learn to Duck and Cover.

I always thought there was something too good about the village the Smurf’s lived in. I know they had Gargamel to contend with but that was manageable, carpet bombing on the other hand was unexpected. UNICEF has created a marketing campaigned aimed at ~~frightening children~~ raising money and awareness for the UN’s Children fund.

It opens with the Smurf’s dancing, hand in hand, around a campfire and singing the Smurf song. Bluebirds flutter past and rabbits gambol around their familiar village of mushroom-shaped houses until, without warning, bombs begin to rain from the sky.

The Smurf’s scatter and run in vain from the whistling bombs, before being felled by blast waves and fiery explosions. The final scene shows a scorched and tattered Baby Smurf sobbing inconsolably, surrounded by prone Smurf’s.

Help Wanted: Editor.

I have been notified by the man sitting next to me on the couch that I should consider finding an editor for Black Hand Productions. After numerous spelling and grammatical errors I decided to post the position for all to apply. This is not a glamorous job but according to the man on the couch it is vital to the future of this publication.

Consider this a open call to all: maybe even one of those Spelling bee kids would be willing join resistance.

Black Hand Productions is seeking an online editor to be part of the team that produces this web site. Black Hand Productions is a non-profit publication that supports people’s active engagement in creating a more just, sustainable, and compassionate world. The Online Editor works as part of the Black Hand Productions editorial team and reports to the Executive Editor. This position is primarily responsible for writing and editing the content of the website:

Attend staff meetings and other organizational meetings aimed at setting the direction for Black Hand Productions.
Assist with editing and writing for other organizational purposes
Strong writing and editing skills.
Familiarity with HTML and other web-related tools
Prefer experience publishing online
Well organized — experience with multi-faceted deadline-driven projects
Meticulous about accuracy and grammar.
Flexible–good at working with a team.
Good Research skills
Passionate about making the world a better place.
