Last night Jim and I went to Scruffy Duffy’s to watch Game 5 of the Pens – Senators series. Granted the Pens lost 3-0 and ended their season, it was a good night with the ladies we met from Pittsburgh. By all accounts the season was a major success, much like last night. A good time had by all.

Mets Opening Day – 2007.
Julie and I went to Opening Day at Shea Stadium to see the Mets beat the Phillies 11-5. After a slow start the Mets pulled ahead with 7 runs in the eight inning. I spent a good portion of the game watching the various uniformed men who roamed the isles of section 38. For exampe the team of ‘Alchol Compliance Supervisors’; otherwise known as the archnemesis to the Beer-guy.
Side Note:
* Of course there were Horse Cops on hand.
AFC Central Glory Days.

After a conversation about the Browns – Steelers Rivalry game this past Thursday I began to think about the old AFC Central Division which consisted of three of the greatest first name quarterbacks of all time:
To think that from 1986-1992 the starting quarterbacks of the major players in the AFC Central were: Boomer, Bernie and Bubby. That’s really about as blue collar as you can get. These could very well be three guys that play softball for the team at the Mill.
What a trio to dominate the divison.
*Side Note:
For the record only Bubby has any superbowl rings. Granted they were with Denver and he was a backup, it’s more than Boomer or Bernie can say.
