Craft Beer Week: Revolution Brewery

UntitledUntitledUntitledUntitledUntitled
To finish off Chicago Craft Beer Week we headed over to the grand opening of Revolution Brewery’s Kedzie brewery.  The brewery will be their production brewery for bottle and can distribution throughout Chicagoland.  I’m not sure how large the space is but there 3,000 tickets sold for the event.  The setup included a ring of food trucks in the parking lot and a stage for the band.  And then inside the facility were several taps setup throughout the space.  We had no trouble getting beers or using the bathroom because most of the people stayed outside the whole time.

I tried several of their beers that I haven’t had before such as Dos Osos West Coast IPA and Black Power Stout which were both great.  By far my favorite is still  Revolution’s Anti-Hero IPA.

* Since we spent most of the time inside we didn’t see any of the band except for this one on our way in. Not sure what to say about it.

** The food trucks seemed to be short on food and long on lines.  We went with Brown Bag Lunch Truck on Julie’s recommendation and it was good but nothing amazing.
