From Queens to the Queen City.

On Sunday Julie and I headed to Cincinnati on our ‘mini honeymoon’ for the Mets – Reds game at Great American Ballpark.  We got to the stadium early and hung out at The Machine Room which overlooks the outfield for the Reds batting practice.  We had great seats about 4 rows back from the field on the third base side.  The Reds ended up winning on a home run in the bottom of the 11th.

Dominic's Bachelor Party.

IMG_5106.JPGIMG_5062.JPGIMG_5084.JPG

This weekend a group of gentlemen gathered in the Queen City for Dominic’s bachelor party.  As you can tell in the photographs below we managed to have a good time, watch some baseball and make reservations… everywhere.  We got to watch the Reds managed to beat the cubs in 11 innings from the comfort of a suite that included Skyline Chili and a desert/alcohol cart.  Not to mention the parting gifts…

There isn’t much remembered about the rest of the night but I believe these pictures tell a story:

*Side Note:

  1. For the record this is my third baseball game in nine days.
  2. This was the chair in one of our hotel rooms.  We made a couple of aesthetic adjustments over the course of the weekend but essentially this is how it was when we received it:

A Cold Night at Wrigley.

Reds Vs. Cubs

Last night I met up with Dom & Kelly and their friend to watch the Reds- Cubs game at Wrigley.  It was 60 degrees when I left the house and I’m pretty sure it dropped 20 degrees by the time I walked to the stadium.  Our seats were great:  Section 223, Row 6.  The weather on the other hand was windy as hell.

Ken Griffey, Jr. wore No. 42 to honor Jackie Robinson and hit his 595th home run… I of course was in the bathroom when this occurred.  I did see Derrek Lee’s three-run homer during the fifth inning though.  Not much after that, we left for shelter as the wind was blowing with a vengeance.
